Final Exam Preview
1. There are 3 main sections in iMovie, the Event library, the Project workspace, and the Viewer. In the event library contains your imported footage, the project workspace is where you build your movie, and the viewer is where you can view certain clips or the movie. In iMovie you create films by adding clips, editing them, and piecing them together.
The first step is too connect your camera into the computer and import your clips into the application. Next drag your clips into your timeline piecing them together. In this mode you can cut, lengthen, shorten and extend clips. After doing this go back and add titles, and subtitles into the film and then export. This pieces the whole video together.
2. I knew how to transport the clips into the time line and add titles.
3. I didn't know how to edit each individual clip or the unique feature on iMovie.
4. I'm most concerned with picking a topic and getting the pictures.
5. Planning out my slides to use and how I'm going to do it.
6. For my video I may do a day in the life of one of my friends or capture a competition or dance class.

Student of the Month Story
Who- Amaya Marquez
What- Student of the Month award
Where- Bowie High School
When- April 17, 2015
Why- She wanted the experience
How- She worked hard and dedicated herself to school
On April 17, 2015, Amaya Marquez, a 15 year old freshmen, was awarded Student of the Month during the morning announcements by Principal Cane.
Amaya discovered this opportunity when seeing pictures of other students around Bowie and decided to dedicate herself to school and work as hard as she could to achieve it too.
"The students looked so happy and proud in all of the photographs posted," said Amaya.
She talked about how her work ethic improved greatly because of this award and that not only did her grades affect her but the people around her.
"My peers were expecting me to make good grades and would ask about what I made on certain assignments. I didn't want to show them bad grades so I pushed myself more then I ever have to keep them up,"said Amaya.
The one thing that really pushed Amaya and kept her head held high was her love for Lacrosse. She is on Bowie's team and loves it more then anything. In order to stay on the team her grades must be good.
"Amaya is one of ours most dedicated lacrosse players and we constantly see her improving because of how hard she works when we train and play. I definitely think Amaya deserved the award she won," said Coach Von.
Likewise, her mother also had a great impact on achieving this award. She pushed Amaya everyday to keep her grades up and to continue working hard and remember to never give up.
"I couldn't have done it without her," said Amaya.
In earning this award, Amaya not only got a plaque and a certificate but she also learned and achieved what we believe to be the most valuable prize.
"Throughout this competition I learned a lot about myself and about work ethic. In order to be someone you can't be lazy. Trying your hardest in any situation in the end truly pays off no matter what it is. It may seem like the hardest thing you have ever done but don't give up, keep on pushing and you'll really enjoy the outcome."

2. 1906-1912
3. Barcelona, Spain
4. You can visit it but its currently closed
5. About 500,000 pesetas
6. Was built as a house for a married couple.
7. I picked this building because i really enjoyed the circular iron decks surrounding the building. The reason it caught my eye was because i know that Spain has unique traditional architecture and thought this piece would be intersting. I also enjoyed the columns on top of the buildings and the material that it was built out of. This is not the modern buildings we now see in America but rather a traditional spanish building.

3. Mexico City
4. private building
5. cost not found
6. A family was tired in living in a traditional home and wanted to move into a house integrated to nature.
7. I picked this building because I really enjoyed the diversity of this building. The stained glass wall caught my eye and is my favorite part. I also enjoy that the building is a snail shape and not the traditional square shape. The material of the building also made it pleasing to the eye.

| Sculptured House |
2. 1963
3. Colorado
4. private building
5. several million dollars
6. built as a home, inspired by the architect."On Genesee Mountain I found a high point of land where I could stand and feel the great reaches of the Earth. I wanted the shape of it to sing an unencumbered song."
7. I picked this building because the oval shape of the building and the lines really caught my eye. I also enjoy the location of it being on a mountain covered in snow, it makes the home look more appealing. The balcony is also really cool and has an amazing view.
![]() |
| Stone House |
2. 1974
3. Portugal
4. You can visit it but it's not an official tourist attraction
5. cost not found
6. This house was inspired by the Flinstones and created to be a rural retreat.
7. I picked this house because it reminded me of the rock house in Shrek. I enjoyed the creativity built into this home. It blends in with nature and looks like a giant boulder which is what it is made of. I feel like it took a lot of effort to make this home because they had to carve it out of boulders.
![]() |
| Cubic Houses |
2. 1975-1984
3. Netherlands
4. You can view these homes, some are occupied with people
5. $49,900
6. The design was based on the concept "living as an urban roof" . Each house represents a tree and together they create a forest.
7. I picked this group of houses because I really like how they took simple square box homes, flipped them and made them into something new. I also enjoyed the imaginary picture the architect created with these homes. The center of the homes have a vocal point and the lines on the home guide your eye to the center. I love how the homes are dynamic and symmetrical .

Photos everyone should know how to make
From this website I learned how to use photos in photoshop to transform pictures to look completely different and unique then the average picture whether it was adding a color effect or combining two different themed photos. I also learned how to create a perspective visual effect to a photo. I can use this later in this class to create really unique and different photos and work with photoshop in new ways. This website expanded my knowledge on the use of Photoshop.

Portraits
This website was all about giving tips to help ensure a good outcome when taking photos and to have the photographers pictures more unique rather then being cliche. The tips ranged from angling the photos to breaking the rules of photography. From this site I learned that its always good to create a conversation with the subject so they feel less intimidated, bringing the model out of their comfort zone is also good in creating a fantastic photo, making the subject look away from the camera creates dynamic and is not so cliche, and that sometimes in order to take a really amazing photo thats different the rules of photography may need to be broken.

Prompt Shoot Peer Review

My favorite photo of Kendall's would be the footprints on. I love the angle at which she took the photo and that the shoe was captured in the rule of thirds. I especially like the focus of the clear shoe and the blurred out background of the leaves.
Finding my least favorite picture of Kendall's is a little tricky because all of her photos are so good. My least favorite picture of hers would be the eight one just because it didn't look as different as the other ones but it was still really good.
Overall Kendall's pictures were all very unique and captured professionally. It was obvious that she really knows what she is doing and took account of all the rules and ways of capturing a good image.
Since Kendall's pictures were all amazing Id say for her to be a little more risky and experimentful when capturing her images.
I think Kendall most successfully captured the prompt footprints and connected the best out of her four. They where very clear and unique.
I think she least successfully captured the prompt pose, although it does work I think she could of been more creative.
